The Highground's Freedom Celebration this Saturday

-The Highground is holding their Freedom Celebration this Saturday, June 30th.Jon Weiler, General Manager of The Highground talked about all the event happening on Saturday for the Freedom Celebration.
"Saturday, we have at 10am, the World War II live display. It's basically soldiers reenacting. They are wearing World War II uniforms, they've got World War II equipment. They're very knowledgeable on their World War II history. And they set up at the park just before you come in to The Highground up there on the hill. It kinda gives them the atmosphere of a World War II camp. And that is going to go from 10am-5pm."
"After that, we have some other events going on during the day like our Volunteer Picnic, recognizing all of our volunteers. Then at 5pm, we have a free outdoor concert. Our first performer is Keith Pulvermacher, he is from Milwaukee. He's an acoustic guitar player and vocalist and very well known in the Milwaukee area."
"Then at 6pm, we have the Promise Quartet from Medford. It's four guys from Medford and they're primarily a gospel, but they do a lot of patriotic music as well. They're really good. I've heard them many times."
"Then at 7pm, 7-9, is Red Higgins and The Freedom Train. Red Higgins is a classic country artist. Very well known in the northern and western part of the state. He does a lot of the classic country, Johnny Cash and stuff like that. And then him and the Promise Quartet are going to be doing Johnny Cash and the Oakridge Boys. They've been practicing some stuff together."
"And then after that, at dusk, we'll have our Fireworks Display. If you've never seen our Fireworks Display, it's amazing. It's 35 minutes long, averaging about 35 minutes long. It's lit by the Volunteer Fire Department in Neillsville. It goes off right over our plaza and people can get pretty close to it."
Once again, the Freedom Celebration is being held this Saturday, June 30th. Everything is free and the public is welcome.
