Mini-Grants Available from National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety

Thursday, June 21st, 2018 -- 7:59 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety at Marshfield Clinic is offering mini-grants of up to $20,000 each to support small-scale projects and pilot studies that address prevention of childhood agricultural disease and injury.

Program coordinators say funding priority will be given to projects that address issues pertaining to barriers, motivators and interventions for keeping young children out of the farm worksite. Proposed projects should also address vulnerable populations and include test safety strategies with new partners, such as insurers, bankers, equipment dealers or the media.

Since 2002, 56 projects have been funded though the NCC. Information on eligibility, priority topics and the application process is available by calling 800-662-6900. The application deadline is August 20.
