Granton Village Board Discusses Credit Card Limit

-The Granton Village Board discussed the credit limit on the village credit cards at their meeting on Wednesday.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board discussed increasing the credit limit on the Village Credit Cards. The village employees share a credit card account with a $2,000 credit limit. There have been two instances over the past year were the village employees have needed to make a purchase using their personal credit cards because the credit limit had been met on the village card, so the purchase was denied. The option of making a credit card payment in advance of the bill was discussed, but paying on an invoice in advance was denied as it may cause confusion. The board then approved raising the limit on the village credit cards to $3,000.
Also, the newly hired Water Works Operator has just completed his 2 week of employment. He was able to work with another employee for two weeks and completed the Chlorine and Bac T samples, completed and filed the Consumer Confidence Report, flushed all 28 hydrants using 8,681 gallons of water and worked with a DNR Representative on upcoming education and water certifications. Also completed was mowing in the Park, Campground and in the Cemetery. Concrete was poured and the stakes were set for the Campground sign which should be installed next week.
