Hixton Woman Charged for Beating an Elderly Woman

-A Hixton woman has been charged with aggravated battery of an elderly person.According to court records, last week, 46-year-old Beverly Huckstep allegedly slapped her mother, grabbed her by the throat and beat her. The victim said Huckstep hit her so hard that her glasses were knocked off her face and her hearing aid fell out. The victim went to a neighbor who intervened and told Huckstep to leave the property.
Authorities said Huckstep did try to resist arrest, but was taken into custody. She is facing several charges in this case.
