Farm Technology Days Will Have No Shortage Of Things To See And Do

Sunday, June 10th, 2018 -- 7:36 AM

Attendees of the state's largest farm show will have no shortage of things to see and do as they travel to central Wisconsin next month.

According to Wisconsin Ag Connection, this week, organizers of Farm Technology Days, slated for July 10-12 near Marshfield, announced that farmers who are interested in learning more about industrial hemp production can have their questions answered in the Innovation Square area, located in the heart of Tent City. The state legislature passed a bill last fall making it legal for farmers to grow hemp as a cash crop, starting this year. Experts will be on hand to discuss the potential hemp has for the agricultural industry. For horse enthusiasts, Billy Yoder will be on the grounds to show youth his step-by-step training methods that make it safer and easier for both horses and people to learn. Mounted Justice, the only Wisconsin-based cowboy mounted shooting club, will entertain guests in the equine area, as will the Meyer Family of Loyal with their Pyramid Hitch.

Meanwhile, the Marshfield Municipal Airport announced it will offer low-cost airplane rides over Tent City and D&B Sternweis Farms during show hours. For just $10 a person, up to three passengers can fly over the show's grounds to get a peak at the exposition from the air. Farm Technology Days is being hosted by D&B Sternweis Farms and Weber's Farm Store/Heiman Holsteins.
