Wisconsin egg production during March was 161 million eggs, up 12 percent from last month and 13 percent more than the same time a year earlier.According to the USDA's latest Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand last month totaled 6.68 million--up two percent for the month and 16 percent greater than last year.
Eggs per 100 layers for March were 2,415--up 10 percent from last month, but down three percent from last year. (Wisconsin Ag Connection)
