Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's New Name, Part 1

-The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has a new name: Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.I spoke with Patrick of the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and he explained why they decided to change their name.
"What we found was that there were some misconceptions on what the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board does. Many cases, people thought we were a regulatory agency that sets price for what farmer's receive for milk. And we don't do that! And many times, consumers just had no understanding of what we did and we wanted to put dairy farmers front and center in the name. Because we know that consumers trust farmers and I think we just think that's going to help drive consumption of Wisconsin Dairy products."
Coming up on Monday, Patrick will talk about how the organization tries to build demand for Wisconsin dairy products.
