Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Teacher and Support Staff Negotiations

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed teacher and support staff negotiations at their meeting last week.At the March meeting, District Administrator Bob Houts relayed to the board that the CPI increase for the staff next year is 2.13%. Mr. Houts offered to discuss the increase with the two union groups and make that offer from the board. Board members asked that he bring the impact of the 2.13% increase to the April Board Meeting. He brought figures that showed a 2.13% increase for support staff, teachers and administration will have an impact of $61,263 on the 2018-19 budget. The Board approved having Mr. Houts meet with the union and make the offer.
Mr. Houts also reminded the board about the Spring Recogntion Dinner on May 9th from 6pm-7pm at the Meadowview Golf Course. He stated the board should have received an invitation in the mail for the dinner and to please RSVP as soon as possible.
