New Garbage and Recycling Carts for Marshfield

(WDLB) -Marshfield residents will start getting their new garbage and recycling carts today.The city is moving to what’s called an automated system, meaning haulers don’t have to leave their trucks to grab the refuse containers with an arm that extends out from their vehicles. Dale Marth of Advanced Disposal says cart delivery will take about two weeks, and everyone should have what they need when the new collection method goes online April 30th. Marth says both your garbage and your recycling cart will be delivered at the same time, and there will be a bag of informational materials regarding scheduling inside the recycling cart.
Marth says the new carts will be color-coded??"one for garbage and the other for recycling---they will be labeled as such, and they will not be inter-changeable. Monday through Thursday garbage and recycling pickup will start April 30th for most residents. Marth says a few places might be ready by April 27th.
