Neillsville Rec Department Looking for Lifeguards

-The Neillsville Recreation Department will be conducting a Red Cross, "Lifeguard Training" class in late May or early June at the Neillsville Pool.The Recreation Department is in need of replacing 4 of their current guards who are seniors this year. Individuals interested in taking the class, must have adequate swimming skills and be 15 years of age as of June 1st. Upon successful completion of the class participants will be able to lifeguard at our pool or be eligible to guard at outdoor pools like Lunda in Black River Falls or at the water parks in Wisconsin Dells. The Red Cross now allows 15 year olds to work as lifeguards if an adult is on the premises.
A "sign-up" sheet will be provided in the high school office or you can contact Judy at the Rec. Dept. at 743-2400 or email at [email protected] by the deadline of April 27th. This will be the only class offered for 2018.
