Jackson County Man Arrested for Hit and Run

-A Jackson County man was arrested Monday after running over a woman with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, 22-year-old Cody Winneshiek-Kish ran over a 47-year-old woman in the Town of Brockway, just outside Black River Falls. Winneshiek-Kish claimed that the woman had threatened his mother and hit him with a metal pipe. He said the woman was standing in front of his vehicle when he tried to get away and he hit her several times.
The woman was taken to the hospital for multiple injuries. The case is still under investigation.
