CDC's Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the Community Development Authority’s Report at their meeting last week.Tim Swiggum reported on the Owen-Withee Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo being held April 7th at the Old School. There are forty-two booths filled along with five businesses presenting for the Job Fair. Also, Heartland is meeting next week with a wetland specialist to schedule work on the rail spur. Growin’ Owen is moving forward and the American in Bloom grant for this project may be available from CN Railroad for next year also, but Owen, as a city, must do their part.
The old Root Beer stand has been sold, Living Well Mental Health Clinic will be opening soon in the Kulp building on Main Street and April 17th is the date of the meeting for the railroad quiet zone.
