Local Dairy Farmers Voice Concerns to Senator Baldwin

(USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin) -Local dairy farmers discussed overproduction, pricing issues, labor problems and trade issues as part of a dairy farmers roundtable discussion on Wednesday in Neillsville.U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin met with a small group of roughly a dozen local farmers to hear about a variety of issues plaguing dairy farmers at American Legion Post 73. She asked dairy farmers to share the most pressing issues that keep them up at night and their outlook on the future of their farms.
They brought up a number of issues, including cost of processing, a disconnect with consumers and overproduction and supply management.
