Greenwood School Board Hears District Administrator's Report

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.

District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on some political items regarding Wisconsin’s schools. Increases in Sparsity aid and raising the low revenue ceiling for school districts were both signed into law by Governor Walker. The Assembly is in special session focused on school safety. He also stated that the district will be conducting another safety drill this spring and results came back from the Water testing and there are no concerns with the district’s water quality. Last Wednesday March 14th was the National School Walk-out and Greenwood had no students participate.

Finally, he mentioned on March 16th professional development was held at the high school. A presenter from the Marshfield Clinic’s Center for Community Outreach talked with staff about trauma-informed schools and trauma-informed approaches to instruction and student engagement.
