Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 -- 9:00 AM

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.

Jr/Sr High School Dean of Students Julie Van Ark reported that the pre-festival band/choir concert was held on Tuesday, March 13th at 7:00 PM. The district choir festival is today and the district band festival will be this Thursday and both events are at the Granton High School. Megan Simington and AJ Ovyn will represent Owen-Withee at the Cloverbelt Conference Scholar/Athlete Banquet on April 4th while Hayley Goessel and Megan Funk will represent Owen-Withee at the Cloverbelt Scholar Banquet on April 11th. The full length play, “Three Plays That Go From Bad to Worse!” will be performed on April 13th, 14th and 15th. March 8th was the “paid day off” for students who did not fail a class 1st semester and are currently passing. The group went bowling in Medford. Yesterday, the Jr. High hosted a Breakout Room with the theme of internet safety.

District Administrator Bob Houts reported that he received word that Mr. Engel has been nominated for and selected to receive the State School Forest Teacher of the Year Award. The award will be presented later this spring.
