Employment Matters at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board accepted the resignation of Spanish Teacher Jeffer Scheuer and thanked her for many years of service to the District. The board also approved the request for 6 days of maternity leave for Lisa Westaby in August of 2018 and approved the CESA 10 service contract for the 2018-19 school year. The board also discussed 4K numbers and the need for sections. District Administrator Bob Houts led the Board in a discussion of the 4K numbers and the need for sections for the 2018-19 school year.
After 4K screening was held on March 7th, 30 students are expected for next year. Depending how many students registered, the thought of going from 3 sections to 2 was considered. This number leads administration to believe that 3 sections will be needed in the 18-19 school year.
