Memorial Medical Center's CEO on Rural Health, Part 10

-President and CEO of Memorial Medical Center, Ryan Neville, spoke with Dr. Bill Auxier of Rural Health Leadership Radio on the importance of rural health.Ryan offered suggestions on what other rural hospitals and rural health leaders could potentially be doing better.
"I always think of how can we be better leaders in the community? The one thing that all our communities have in common is we all need healthcare. I think the one thing I've found value is getting more involved in the county health initiatives and figure out how we can either support or lead those. As a CEO in this region and this area, we have connections that we can bring to a county health department that might be three people deep. So, I think what we need to do differently is think about who are partners really are. And sometimes they can be our neighbors and how do you increase the partnerships. The county health departments should be the first on the list and your local employers as well."
Coming up on Monday, Ryan will talk about a wonderful collaboration he didn’t initially foresee.
