Another Grocery Store Coming to Spencer

(WDLB) -The former I-G-A, Burnstad’s and Gordy’s Market grocery store in Spencer is getting ready to re-open with a new name, but familiar face to the area’s grocery industry.Andy Cveykus (suh-VY-kess) will be the store Director for the Great Lakes Foods Fresh Market. Cveykus says the store 1110 South Pacific Street in Spencer is in the process of being updated with new equipment and rebranded with signage in the coming month. Cveykus and many of his former Gordy’s employees will be returning to offer services to the Spencer Community. Andy comes with vast grocery experience, working as Store Director of both Gordy’s and Burnstad’s Market of Spencer and Festival Foods in Marshfield. Great Lakes Fresh Market Grocery says the Spencer store will include full a produce department, bakery, and Full-Service Deli, offering fresh products daily.
Great Lakes will also feature a meat department featuring a Signature Meat Market which will include marinated, stuffed, and seasoned beef, as well as pork, poultry, and seafood. Great Lakes Fresh Market will also offer additional amenities, like a coffee bar, floral, and a limited hardware selection, along with an expanded beer, wine, and liquor department. Cveykus says he anticipates a February opening date.
