Clark County Community Foundation Announces New Scholarship Opportunity

Friday, January 19th, 2018 -- 11:12 AM

-The Clark County Community Foundation (CCCF) is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for students graduating from Neillsville High School (NHS) and pursuing an education beyond high school.

Established in 2017, the Harry and Esther King Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by the King family to honor the memory of their parents and to offer financial assistance to NHS students, preferably those who are interested in the fields of agriculture or education. In 1952, the Kings purchased a dairy farm in the Neillsville area where they farmed and raised their family. Always involved in agriculture in some manner, the family knew that “farming was always closest to their parents’ hearts.” The family also recognized that both Harry and Esther made education a priority for themselves and their children.

To be awarded annually, the $250 scholarship seeks to encourage and support area youth while also honoring the memory and values of their parents. Interested applicants can find the Harry and Esther King Memorial Scholarship Fund Application at www.clarkccf.org/ or by contacting the Neillsville High School Guidance Office.
