Quiet Night for Owen City Council

-It was a quiet night for the Owen City Council at their meeting last week.The council heard the Treasurer’s Report, the Public Works Report and approved a license. They also heard the CDC’s report. Tim Swiggum reported he is working with Heartland on the rail plan and wetland permitting in the Spring. He also mentioned that Vaple Insurance wants to add 1 more test well, Quality Roasting are inquiring about a rail for their business and February 5th will be the Owen-Withee Area Chamber of Commerce Annual gathering. Finally, he mentioned that April 7th will be their annual Business Expo.
The council also mentioned some items coming up on future agendas including a raise for election officials, the Clark County Police Report, the Hester house, the Fire Department’s equipment inventory and the Police Department’s inventory.
