Neillsville School Board Hears Public Works Report

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, snow and ice removal, maintain and then removing the Christmas decorations, trimming and pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, cleaning up brush and compost and more. The tree removal project is ongoing and, due to the cold, the department has had to repair some water line breaks in the city.
The council also heard a report from a Police and Fire Commission Meeting held on January 3rd. This meeting gave permission to Neillsville’s Police Chief a tentative offer of employment to choice candidates selected and ranked by the commission.
