Marshfield Common Council Approves Luxury Apartment Complex

(WDLB) -Marshfield's Common Council has given the green light to a new luxury apartment complex to be built just east of Walmart on Marshfield's north side.The complex will be built by Mosinee-based S.C. Swiderski LLC, on behalf of Lang Properties Partnership. City Planner and Development Services Director Josh Miller says 11 separate buildings will contain a total of 160 apartments. The plan says there will be four 12-unit buildings, and seven 16-unit buildings. The 12-unit buildings would have two-and-three bedroom apartments, and the 16-unit buildings would have one-and-two-bedroom units. The city will extend North Hume Avenue this year to accommodate the project.
Approval for that "conditional use request" was voted on as a consent agenda item at Tuesday night's meeting of the Marshfield Common Council, when Aldermen approved the minutes of a recent Plan Commission meeting. The new complex is tentatively scheduled to be completed by 2021.
