Neillsville City Council Approves Several Items at Meeting on Tuesday

-The Neillsville City Council approved several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council discussed the starting wage of $22.26 for a new police officer. This was first discussed and approved during a Personnel Committee meeting held on January 4th. The council also discussed the appointment of a new Library Board member and they discussed the direct deposit of employee payroll checks. Finally, the council discussed the purchase of a property at 1710 Black River road from Sunrise Realty. The cost came to $13,500.
The council then discussed turning over the property to the Director of Public works and handling the demolition of the property at that location. This item was first discussed during an Economic Development Commission meeting from January 8th.
