Black River Falls Man Sentenced for 7th OWI

-A Black River Falls man arrested for his 7th OWI was sentenced in Jackson County Court.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in May, they received a report of a suspicious man outside the Jackson County Prison waving a baseball bat. When authorities arrived, they discovered Kelly O’Brien driving a motorized bicycle holding a large flashlight. Deputies could smell alcohol on his breath and, after failing a sobriety test, O’Brien was arrested.
He entered a guilty plea to his 7th OWI, operating with a PAC was dismissed by operation of law and a bail jumping charged was dismissed, but read in. He was sentenced to years in prison and 4 years of extended supervision. He also owes the courts $2,423.
