Black River Falls Man Arrested After Standoff Enters Plea in Court

-The man arrested after a standoff situation in Black River Falls appeared in Jackson County Court on Monday.Back in November, a woman reported a domestic disturbance incident. Authorities made contact with the suspect, Denzel Sanders of Black River Falls, outside a residence on 3rd Street. Sanders fled inside the home and barricaded himself inside. Authorities had received reports that Sanders had access to multiple weapons inside the home. However, after four hours, authorities were able to convince Sanders to come out of the home and he surrendered peacefully.
Sanders was arrested and is facing multiple charges including failure to comply, domestic disorderly conduct and more. During his court appearance on Monday, he waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.
