New Face on Marshfield City Council & Wood County Board

(WDLB) -There will be at least one new face on the Marshfield Common Council and Wood County Board next spring.District-five Alderman Ed Wagner announced yesterday he will not seek reelection to the seat he’s held since April of 2006. Wagner filed a declaration of non-candidacy on Monday. And he did the same for his seat on the Wood County board of Supervisors. Wagner said he’s not running again for his District-four seat on the board, which he’s had since 2008.
Wagner says he’s making the announcements now in order to allow other people interested in serving in either position the time to file the appropriate forms to seek election to either office. In a statement released on Monday, Wagner says he feels now is the time to take a breather and pursue other personal goals.
