Marshfield Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child Appears in Wood County Court

-A Marshfield man charged with sexual assault of a child appeared in Wood County Court on Tuesday.On November 19th, the 32-year-old man was caught sexually assaulting a young girl when the girl’s mother walked in on the man. She got the girl dressed and took her to the Marshfield Medical Center. The girl told authorities that the man had assaulted her before. The man has been charged with 1st degree sexual assault of a child under 13, incest with a child and child enticement. If convicted, and sentenced to the maximum amount, he could spend 125 years in prison.
Probable cause was found during his preliminary hearing and he entered not guilty pleas to the charges against him during his arraignment. He remains in the Wood County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond and he’ll be back in court in March.
