Central Wisconsin State Fair Continues

Friday, September 1st, 2017 -- 9:02 AM

(WDLB) -Day Two at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield was not as busy as day one, but was still well attended.

Thursday was Senior Citizen's Day at the fair, and General Manager Dale Christiansen said there was an overflow crowd for a show by The Memories. Christiansen also served as a judge for the annual "Dress-a-cow" contest held in the Jer Lang Show Palace. The contest was won by the Rozelleville Rockets 4-H club. 12-year-olds Sadie Kaufman and Sarah Dorhorst were dressed as cobs of corn, and their cow was made to look like a combine.

There were decent crowds for Blackhawk, which took the grandstand stage last night. The attendance was down last night compared to Wednesday, which Christiansen said was one of the best opening days the fair has ever seen. At the fair today, "Alice in Dairyland" Crystal Siemers--Peterman visits at noon. And at 7:30 tonight, Eddie Money takes the grandstand stage.
