Neillsville School Board Approves Tax Levy at Annual Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved the district’s tax levy at the Annual Meeting held on Monday.District Administrator John Gaier reviewed the budget and answered questions from the floor. A tax levy of $3,783,615 was recommended. After the budget hearing was closed, a vote was taken and the levy amount was approved with a 11 votes for yes and 0 for no.
The board, and those present, also approved setting board salaries, setting per diems at the current rate, authorizing reimbursement for expenses, authorizing to sell or otherwise dispose of all unused, outdated or obsolete supplies, equipment and materials and to authorize the sale of any property belonging to or not needed by the School District of Neillsville.
