Garage Destroyed In Fire West Of Black River Falls

On Monday morning the Black River Falls fire department was called to a garage fire at N3214 State Hwy 54 West in the Township of Irving.According to a department release, upon arrival an unattached 24 x 40 foot wood framed garage and its contents had been completely consumed in the fire. The property owner reports seeing what she thought was fog out of her home windows. On further investigation, she noted it was smoke and then found the garage to be gone.
The department conducted overall to extinguish some hot spots found in the building and content remains.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. A fire damage and loss estimate is not known. The structure was insured.
The department was on the scene for one hour with mutual aid from the Melrose fire department.
