The Clark County Board of Supervisors Head an Update on The County's IT Situation

The Clark County Board of Supervisors heard an update on the county’s IT situation.Back in July, Clark County lost access to data on internal servers that impacted several departments and is critical to county operations. The county will have about 80% success in recovery. They had a backup for most departments in September of 2016, so data between then and July of this year was lost. However, they will be able to recover around 80% of that data.
The county will continue to assess the remaining 20% of data that is missing and looking at breach of contract with their vendor. They are looking at possible monetary damage from the vendor, but the vendor does have a 30 day remedy window to comply or resist.
