Clark County Extension Office at the Clark County Fair, Part 6

Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 -- 12:29 PM

-The Clark County Fair begins tomorrow and the Clark County UW-Extension Office will be doing many things during the fair.

I spoke with Melissa Kono, CNRED Agent, and Chris Holler, 4-H Advisor, and they talked about some of the events they’re doing. Chris continued the interview by talking about the many, many events happening with the 4-H at the Clark County Fair.

Chris: "On Friday, dairy and poultry is coming up. Friday night we have 4-H Has Talent from 5pm-7pm in the Listeman Bandshell. So, we'll have some of our performances that went to the state fair showcasing their talent and drama and music. We'll have a bunch of camp songs too! After that we have 4-H Family Celebration, which takes place in the dairy arena. Fun for the whole family. Hopefully parents come along with their children this year. Sometimes that doesn't happen. But it helps keeps everything safer. Which is good! And either I'll get pied or I'll get soaked this year. So, people can throw things at me, which, after Wednesday, you have every right too and I'll be okay with that. As long as it's not a pie tin that has the little rough edges at the bottom. It's going to be a busy week. And eat a lot of food from the 4-H Food Stand. It's good stuff over there and all our clubs are volunteering within there to then help fund trips and activities they do for the rest of the year."

Coming up on Wednesday, we’ll hear more about what’s happening at the Clark County Fair with the UW-Extension Office.
