Osseo Woman Sentenced for 5th OWI

-An Osseo woman was sentenced for her 5th OWI in Jackson County Court on Friday.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in October of last year, they found Melinda Lee sleeping in her vehicle on Highway 10 in the Town of Garfield. Deputies say she appeared to be under the influence when they woke her. Lee failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
She pleaded guilty to her 5th OWI. A charge of 5th operating with a PAC was dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 3 years’ probation with a condition of 6 months jail time. She also had her driver’s license revoked for 2 years and was ordered to pay a $600 fine.
