Head of Marshfield's Electric and Water Services Retiring

Thursday, July 27th, 2017 -- 6:55 AM

(WDLB) -The head of Marshfield's electric and water services says he'll retire at the end of the year. Marshfield Utilities General Manager Bob Trussoni has announced his plan to retire December 31st, after 31 years.

Trussoni began his career with the Marshfield Electric and Water Department in 1986 as the Electric Line Superintendent. He did that job until 1999, when he became Technical Services Manager. In 2005, Trussoni was then put in charge of electrical and fiber-optic services. He became the assistant General Manager in 2012, and succeeded Joe Pacouvsky as General Manager a year later. And Trussoni has seen lots of changes over the past 31 years, most notably the reliability of the electric service to Marshfield customers.

Trussoni has also been an active community member. He served as Rotary President from 2007 to 2008, and as Rotary Assistant District Governor from 2008 to 2011. He is also the current Treasurer for the Rotary District Charitable Trust. Most recently, Trussoni has served on the Board of the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the city's Economic Development Board, and the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin Board. The city's Utility Commission will conduct a national search for his successor.
