Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau Receives JEM Grant

-The Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau is preparing for its annual Harvest Moon Fall Tour with the help from a $7,000 Joint Effort Marketing, or JEM, Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.The grant was presented by Heidi Shultz of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. She stated that the department looks at what an organization did for previous advertising of the event and what they could do to go beyond that. They also look at their marketing plan and how impactful it is on the area. A state statute requires the department to give away a set amount of dollars for tourism events each year. There are several different types of JEM grants the department provides.
Sheila Nyberg, the CCEDC’s Executive Director, stated that the grant will help them advertise the event more, beyond what they already do. She hopes that will help to further promote the county and its communities and businesses and draw more people to the area. The Harvest Moon Fall Tour is happening September 15th-October 8th.
