Black River Falls Man Sentenced for Burglary

-A Black River Falls man arrested for burglarizing a store in Jackson County was sentenced in court on Thursday.Back in December, deputies arrested 21-year-old Nicholas Thorson after he admitted to stealing from Wood Sales and Service. He also said he stole from other places in Black River Falls. Thorson has been charged with burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and possession.
During his court appearance on Thursday, he was found guilty, due to a no contest plea, of burglary of a building or dwelling. Several other charges were dismissed but read in. He was sentenced to 5 years’ probation, must pay restitution and owes the courts $448.52.
