Neillsville City Council Hears Various Committee Reports

The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports at their meeting on Tuesday.

They heard the report from the Parks and Recreation Board Meeting held on April 12th. They heard about a donation that was used to purchase uniforms as well as summer and winter programs. They heard about spring clean-up happening at the city’s parks and the recommended the common council use some tourism money towards the building of a new bathroom. They also heard the Heritage Days committee report from April 12th. They discussed the beer vendors, the poster and the Mini Rodders event and chicken dinner.

The council then heard the Connect Communities Committee report from April 17th. They discussed the Small Business Academy and decided not to renew their membership in the Connect Communities program and instead shift those duties to the Neillsville Improvement Corporation and Downtown Revolution Initiative. Finally, the heard the Board of Health report from April 18th. This was the meeting that discussed the Merchant Hotel issues.
