Update on Clark County Construction Projects

Friday, April 21st, 2017 -- 11:25 AM

-The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is providing a weekly update on construction projects in the northwest region.

Construction related traffic impacts are subject to change and dependent on favorable weather patterns. Work continues on Highway 29 between Boy and Abbotsford. Crews are removing concrete pavement cracking and fatigue locations replacing them with new concrete slabs. Crews will also mill and overlay the eastbound and westbound shoulders on WIS 29 along with replacing bridge wingwalls on three bridges throughout the project limits. Motorists can expect single lane closures and reduced speed zones. The project is expected to be finished by October with a cost of $6.8 million.

The other big project is Highway 98 right in the City of Loyal. This reconstruction of Main Street includes water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, concrete pavement and street lights. Highway 98 is closed at the Elm Drive intersection and traffic is detoured along County Highways K, H and Y. The project is expected to be completed by November with a cost of $5.1 million.
