Parking Issue at Granton Village Board Meeting

-The Granton Village Board discussed a parking issue in town.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, a parking issue was brought to the attention of the village last year and complaints are still being noted. Residents parking their cars on both sides of narrow streets prevent two cars from meeting. Residents of the problem areas were notified that the parking issue needs to be corrected or the village will restrict parking to correct the problem. The parking issues could not be resolved by the residents. A motion to place “no parking” signs on the West side of Oak between 3rd and 4th was made and approved.
The board also reviewed two bids for tree removal in the cemetery. A motion to award bid to the lowest bidder, Trees R Us, for the cost of $1200, if the estimate includes chip brushing was made and approved.
