Clark County Sheriff's Department Welcomes Two New Administrative Assistants

Friday, May 21st, 2021 -- 10:00 AM

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department is welcoming two new administrative assistants.

The first is Krista, a Neillsville native. She just finished getting her Bachelor's Degree in business administration back in August, and one of her friends recommended this position to her. It seemed like the perfect fit for her to start using her degree.

Krista spends her time with her daughter. They like to do things like going to the zoo, going to the park, and eating ice cream. She really enjoys sports.  She's in gymnastics, so they spend a lot of time together. She also spends a lot of time with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and parents. She’s very family oriented.

Some skills and talents that she believes will help her in the Sheriff’s Officer.  She’s very much a people person, and she can get along with just about anybody. She brings cohesiveness to the team, but she also enjoys being silly and playful, so she brings lots of laughs to the office as well.

Originally, for her 5 year professional plan, she had planned on going back and getting her Masters Degree in education, as that is the majority of her professional experience. She was a teacher's aide at the Neillsville School District for 9 years. However, as a single mom, it's currently not feasible. So, she’s utilizing her business degree, and she’s really enjoying it.

The next new administrative assistant is Jaimie, an Owen native, but she currently lives in Neillsville,.  She applied for the position because she wanted a new challenge. They say you never grow if you don't challenge yourself, so she wanted to do something different that she hasn't done before. She’s excited and it's been fun so far.

Previously, professionally, she worked in the building industry as a wholesaler for building materials. For hobbies, she and her family like to take road trips across the country. Otherwise, she likes to spend time with her kids, going to the zoos, and spending time outside. One of her family's favorite places to road trip is out to Maine. They love the seafood and the coast. She also really likes to cook and grill.

She feels she’s very task oriented, goal oriented, and a good communicator. She likes to get things done.  She hopes this position is a long term one.
