Some Wood County Election Results

Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 -- 10:10 AM

(WDLB) -There will be no changes on the Marshfield Board of Education following yesterday's election.

Incumbents Dorothy Chaney and Mark Konrardy were the top two vote-getters in a four-way race on Tuesday, and will get new three-year terms. Konrardy got the most votes with 18-hundred-39, and Chaney was second with one-thousand-808. Dr. Ruwan Dissanayake finished in third place with one-thousand-708 votes, and Keith Pugh was a distant fourth with 822. And there will be no changes on the Pittsville School Board. Incumbents Mandy Hoogesteger, Melissa Marti and Connie Potter were the top vote-getters in a four-way race for three spots. Amy Bartlett finished in fourth place.

Also, Gordy Earll has won another term on the Marshfield Common Council. The current Council President defeated challenger Ken Bargender on Tuesday, 194 to 105. Earll's was the only contested seat in the city of Marshfield. Retired police officer Nick Poesche ran unopposed for the Council seat being given up by Alanna Feddick. Alderman Tom Witzel--who was appointed to the Council's District-six seat last summer to fill the unexpired term of Rich Reinart--ran unopposed to win his first full two-year term. Incumbents Rebecca Spiros and Pete Hendler also ran unopposed.
