CDC's Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDC’s report at their meeting last week.Tim Swiggum reported on the Owen-Withee Community Expo held at the Old High School gymnasium. John Ross, Clark County Emergency Management Director, spoke at the UCCC meeting. The County’s new emergency communications system is moving forward and should be online in the Fall of 2017. Tim also stated the Heartland Project is moving along quickly and the DNR may not require clean-up of the contamination.
A new TIF law requires an annual meeting of the taxing jurisdictions is required for municipalities with tax incremental districts to review annual audit reports. The interested party in the Agribusiness Park would build in 2018 and Tim will be attending a workshop for building strong towns on April 20th.
