Annual Conservation Congress County Meeting and DNR Spring Hearing on April 10th

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Citizens of Wisconsin are reminded to attend the Annual Conservation Congress County Meeting and DNR Spring Hearing in their county, which are both scheduled to be held on April 10.Beginning at 7:00 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to elect their local delegates who represent their county's interests on natural resource issues, record their position on DNR rule proposals and Conservation Congress advisory questions, and introduce citizen resolutions pertaining to the management of natural resources in Wisconsin. This year forum includes nearly 90 questions on the ballot, including 38 proposed DNR rule changes, 49 advisory questions from the congress and one from the Natural Resources Board.
People who have an interest in natural resources, conservation, hunting, fishing, trapping or outdoor recreation in Wisconsin are being encouraged to attend. If you plan on attending the Spring Hearings you should plan to arrive by 7 p.m. Proof of residency in the county in which you intend to vote is required if you plan to vote for county delegates. If you do not plan on voting for delegates, no identification is necessary.
