National Public Health Week April 3rd-7th, Final

Friday, March 31st, 2017 -- 11:11 AM

-In recognition of National Public Health Week, April 3-7, the Clark County Health Department encourages you to…take charge of your health!

The Clark County Health Department is encouraging you to schedule time with your provider at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Our Lady of Victory Hospital, part of Ascension, in Stanley, Marshfield Clinic or wherever your health care provider is located to discuss what screenings and exams you need and when you need them. I spoke with Rebecca Rosandick, Health Educator/Public Health Specialist with the Clark County Health Department, and she provided some final thoughts on National Public Health Week.

"To sum sum it all up, the Clark County Health Department is encouraging individuals to focus on preventative health and screening options during Public Health Week this year. And this could involve scheduling time with somebody's health care provider to discuss screening options and what's appropriate for them and what they should be aware of in the future."

Once again, National Public Health Week begins on Monday and area medical providers are offering different screening opportunities.
