Marshfield Area Parent Network Event

Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth and Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach will host a Marshfield Area Parent Network presentation Monday, April 10, titled “Raising Resilient Children.”The event will be from 5-7 p.m. at Marshfield Clinic Froehlke Auditorium, Laird Center for Medical Research, 1000 N. Oak Ave., Marshfield. The impact of encouraging positive behavior during adolescence reaches far beyond childhood. Thinking patterns, habits and behaviors, formed in adolescence may persist and affect adult emotional and physical well-being. Learn about using the seven competencies of positive youth development (competence, confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping and control) to hold children to high expectations for being compassionate, generous and creative all while believing in them unconditionally.
