Loyal School Board Approves Several Items

-The Loyal School board approved several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The board approved a new grading policy related to their kids taking classes a t NTC, discussed a possible switch to co-op group purchasing of health insurance, discussed the hiring of Nancy Popp as their new ½ time teacher, ½ time Elementary principal for next year and hired Randy Montalvo as their softball coach.
They also changed some language in their handbook regarding teacher retirements. They will get $15/day for unused sick leave and have the option to take $300/month in cash if they do not participate in the district’s health insurance. They also approved letting the Clark County Male Chorus copy their programs on the district’s copy machines.
