Security Health Plan Names New Chief Medical Officer

-Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Eric Quivers as its chief medical officer.Quivers, a board certified pediatric cardiologist, joined Security Health Plan after serving as medical director-physical health at Amerigroup Iowa, an Anthem Company, in West Des Moines. He has worked at a number of health insurance companies helping establish and lead medical management and quality assurance programs. He has experience at health plans offering coverage through the Affordable Care Act.
Quivers earned his bachelor degree in biology and chemistry from Morehouse College in Atlanta. He completed his medical degree and pediatric residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., then completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Quivers has a graduate certificate in leadership development from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
