Granton Village Board Hears Several Reports

-The Granton Village Board heard the Constable’s report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes, the board reviewed the Constable Report outlining the month’s activities. Also presented was the quarterly report outlining the tickets collected. The board then heard the clerk’s report. The past month was spent primarily on prep for the 2016 audit. The audit was completed on March 9th and final results will be sent to the village once the document is prepared. The February primary for the State Superintendent was complete and village results were posted. The April election will be on Tuesday April 4th.
Finally, the board heard the treasurer’s report. The beginning balance in checking was 135,954.46 and ending balance was 31,550.14. Beginning balance in the money market account was 460,492.74 and ending balance, including tax collection, is 516,081.95. There are still some outstanding balances and bills to be paid before the final budget figures.
