Marshfield Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Child

(Marshfield News Herald) -A Marshfield-area family waited four years to see a judge sentence a man to 7½ years in prison for sexually assaulting one of his adopted daughters.Adams County Circuit Judge Daniel Wood also ordered Kenneth S. Conrad of Marshfield to face 12 years of close supervision after he gets out of prison, and to have no contact with some of the children who once thought he would protect and provide for them.
Other adopted children had accused the 46-year-old Conrad of molesting them over a period of years in Wood County, but it took a prosecutor in Adams County to finally charge him in connection with an incident there. A jury convicted Conrad of first-degree sexual assault of a child in October for inappropriately touching his 11-year-old adopted daughter during a camping trip in Adams County in the summer of 2012.
