Thursday, March 16th, 2017 -- 8:04 AM
-The Greenwood School Board heard about the health insurance cooperative at their meeting on Monday. The early information for the cooperative looks very encouraging. The major goals of a health insurance cooperative is to help minimize yearly premium volatility, increase leverage for districts to negotiate, and demonstrate fiscal responsibility to taxpayers. The board was also provided an update on the 2016-17 budget and preparations for the 2017-2018 district budget.
The board approved the administrative re-structuring as proposed with a 4K-6 Elementary Principal a 7-12 Dean of Students and the District Administrator adding 7-12 principal duties effective for the 2017-18 school year this was done to provide a clear and specific administrative presence in both schools every day. Another goal was to restructure with little or no increase in administrative costs.
